Tori...you fail at debating. I'll answer this when I get back from school.

I think one of the major issues in this thread is the validity of the Scriptures. If you don't believe it to be 100% true and Holy, you might as well should probably throw it out the window. God's Word is so much more than pointless guidelines. I recently took a Bible class at my school, and it helped make sense of so many things! It had been mentioned that if we're going to acknowledge homosexuality as sin and follow that law, why aren't we following all the other laws? Here's why: In God's Word, there are three types of laws. 1. Laws that pertain to the nation of Israel. These historic laws are found in the Old Testament, which is the common bond between Judaism and Christianity. An example of historic law would be not eating pork. Unless one subscribes to Judaism (which still requires one to abide by most Old Testament law rather than be saved by grace), they wouldn't be following these laws. 2. Laws that were to be followed UNTIL Christ came and changed everything. By dying on the cross and conquering death, Jesus filled in the gap that separated man and God. Before he came, acts such as animal sacrifice were used to make men righteous before the LORD. Jesus having paid the ultimate price has negated these laws, and by accepting His payment one is now righteous before the Lord. 3. Finally, there are the universal laws, which still apply. These laws (pertaining to sins such as homosexuality, murder, lying, stealing, and whatever else) deal with moral issues that apply to ALL people (Jews and Gentiles, therefore ruling out Law #1 - Hebrew Law). Universal laws also apply to people of ALL time periods, ancient, Classical, and modern. Even when one accepts Christ's payment and is forgiven, they are still to abide by these laws. I hope that shed some light on where I'm coming from. It would make more sense, were I not typing it at 2:50 a.m.

I don't have enough time to respond to these, but Randi finally gave me permission to tell you that she's bi, so you might want to listen to what she wants to say. And she's pretty sure it's not a choice.

Oh, Randi, I don't think any less of you, or anyone for that matter, for their sexual orientation. You guys, I'm really not phased by sexuality in a person. My best friend and roomate happens to be gay, and I love him all the same.
You know my thoughts on the subject, and they still stand.
But the last thing I want people to think is that I'm a hateful person who immediately turns their back on a person just because of their sexuality. I'm slightly saddened that some people would think that Randi's post would be used as "bait" for me to get angry, or even as a mechanism to cause me to completely abandon my beliefs.
