That was the most exaggerated, generalizing, arrogant post I have ever read in my life.

ditto You see, just because I don't agree with the majority, I'm arrogant and what I say's irrelevant.
Shockingly, a lot of my professors agree and hold the same ground, even though the school I go to is a CUNY school.

I, too, have grown rather weary from Americans resenting America. Every nation has its bad moments. Unfortunately for us, most of our bad moments came, one after another, in the latter half of the 20th century. It's left this generation with many questions, and many things to be ashamed of. However, I'm tired of feeling as though we owe the world everything and that we somehow cannot rise above our past failures and transgressions.

People need to stop whining about it. We could ditch and let the entire place go to hell, not like it's current quasi-stable state, if we want to. Which is why we're staying. Most are saying it was a terrible idea in the first place. It will be quite funny how not one person will be chanting about how wrong the 'war' was and about charging Bush with 'war crimes' when it's over. Really? You honestly think that? People that hate what Bush is done will continue to hate it after the presidency. It's just dumb to think otherwise. People still hate Vietnam, and that was decades ago. I guess they'll forget it all and let it slide since he's such a great man. I think it's a little far to be calling him a "great man", he's undoubtedly a below-average president, and I wouldn't call any average president a "great man". IYou can always tell who the real idiots are, the ones who simply insult Bush and the governemnt, the ones who think that America is in a worse state than Germany under Hitler - all brainless sheep. Who the hell thinks America is worse than Nazi Germany!? and- LOL THE MAJORITY IS ALWAYS RONG AND STOOPID. It's cool to hate America, attack every single aspect value of her, and pretend that she's falling. If you don't, you're obviously ignorant and arrogrant and an ass and some gun-collecting, fast food eating idiot. The hell? Most people don't base their political sides off of "what's cool". And the majority of Democrats (or any politicians) don't hate America at all. How many positive news stories will you find about Bush or government? Pretty much 0. Is that even possible? It's screaming out how biased and sick the media is. This is just retarded. There are plenty of positive stories on Bush. Yes, while the majority is against him, that doesn't make their opinion wrong.Without a doubt, over 90% of the negative things you hear about the government and Bush are completely exaggerated or false. Just because everyone says what the government is doing is wrong doesn't mean anything. It's a lack of knowledge that allows piffle like this to spread and infect those who are just looking for a reason to hate the US, sometimes their own country. Again, I love this country, I hate the war, and I strongly dislike Bush. To say that all against Bush are crazy anarchist trendfollowers is the same to say all supporting him are "gun-collecting, fast food eating idiots".

Obviously and thankfully, you aren't exposed to the half-baked opinions and mentality of a lot of the rest of the world. You are oppressed if you show even the slightest support for America or her goals, so that's why I'm always different mindset.
No one is going to care about what we did when it’s over until we try to invade another country. Once Bush has no power, everyone will forget and we'll see that it wasn't as big of a deal as everyone made it out to be. 'The biggest mistake in the history of the world,' my ass. Oil? We didn't touch one drop, and Bush is the President who is doing more than any other president to cut oil use. When JFK cut off Cuba, the whole world united against America for disrupting freedom of the seas, sort of how everyone is now, and the same with Vietnam. When those events were over, everyone went quiet. Who still chants about how wrong America was about 'Nam or Cuba if it has nothing to do with Iraq? Who wants the presidents of those times to pay for 'what they did wrong?' Iraq is nothing but a road bump. People are lucky that it isn't a real war. They seem to forget that when America declares war, Americans have hardly any rights; speaking out against the war would result in a fine or being arrested, which is exactly how it needs to be now. Disrespect for authority is fruitless and imbecilic. I'd take a bullet for Bush if I had to, but it doesn't mean that I support everything he does. I can guarantee you that Bush won't be looked down upon as one of the worst presidents. Invaded for WMDs and could not find any major ones? All it proves is that people make mistakes or that we're being deceived by the enemy. The media is very biased, and to deny this is just stupid. If we were to find WMDs tomorrow, there's no doubt in my mind that the same idiots who advocate the 9/11 and 'America never landed on the moon' theories will be stating that there were never WMDs and the government planted them in Iraq. And before you know it, it would be as commonly accepted as the 9/11 theories. The fact that so many Americans believe that utter BS should make you sick. I remember how my dad was cheering at the live TV when bombs first started falling over Afghanistan, then the same for Iraq. Now he tells me that whoever even supported the wars is retarded. Smart. The fact of the matter is that no one stopped it before it began, and congress, which is in no way being influenced by Bush, could have stopped it dozens of times, but decided not to. It’s true that the President could take over the world by himself in 90 days if he wanted to, but after that certain period of time, if the rest of the government doesn’t agree, he has to stop.
