Here's my advice: Just watch "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide." LOL Wow, it was 1998 when I became a sixth grader. O.O I just remember that 7th and 8th graders were terrifying, and enjoyed picking on the 6th graders. When you become and "uppah-classman," try not to pick on the younger ones. You'll be tempted to, it's so easy.... The "olda boyz" will probably use words you've never heard before, as well. Don't repeat what they say, they're fools. And I love Nina's comment about the "ghetto girls." Was Brittany included in that category? Dang!

I agree with you Nina, except on your prediction for me. Girls don't like smart dudes... We'll talk about it more at Oliver! (in an hour, LOL). Keaton, I'm sure all of the girls on this forum who are out of middle school can say that they absolutely ADORE "smart dudes".

Uhm - I was in middle school, and still am, an antisocial and undesirable-by-the-opposite-sex kind of person. So let me tell you, it is very unfun - please take it easy on the nerds.

The "smart dudes" in my high school are all stuck-up a$sholes with 96+ averages. No one likes them and they all usually hang out together. Thank god tomorrow is the last day I'll ever visit my school.

You're an awfully abrasive person, aren't you?

Web and Keaton, just remember to be responsible and to be yourself Sometimes people can change for the worst in Middle School, but you can also learn things and how to make good decisions, and hopefully you guys will remember to do that

Hahaha, you think it gets bad in MIDDLE school? Things don't start looking up in high school, trust me. The worst middle school gets is people trying to be as bad as the high schoolers are :-P

Well it depends on what middle school you're talking about... I really do think that middle school is worse than high school because the kids try to act like what they THINK highschoolers act like. There are so many popularity contests and if you're not "drop-dead-gorgeous" in a middle schooler's point of view or if you're not really quiet and sweet and shy, people usually pick on you.
I guess it depends on who you are and where you came from when you decide which is better...
My high school is 10 times better than my middle school, and Joy could say the same thing. But hey, you're always going to have to deal with choices and horrible kids, so don't think any of those will be "a pleasure cruise"...
...now you're talkin'...

Well, from my perspective, in high school most of the relaxed, carefree, fun people became perpetually distressed, self-important wannabe adults who never entertain a thought about...well...anything. Thinking in high school is not at a;ll fashionable. Not fun at all. I've recently had a month to spend every day on a college campus, and all the students I spoke with would say that the high school years were the worst years of their life. The same opinion was shared by several of my high school TEACHERS. Very seldom does one come across a high school student whose field of vision extends beyond the tip of their own nose.

Well, from my perspective, in high school most of the relaxed, carefree, fun people became perpetually distressed, self-important wannabe adults who honestly believe they know everything. GOOD GRAVY! I was really shocked reading this, because several people I know say that highschool years were the best years of their lives! I don't doubt that there are a bunch of teenagers that think they know everything there. I don't doubt that at all because I face that every day at highschool. I totally agree with you on that one. But I guess that's something you'll ALWAYS face. Middle schoolers might think elementary kids think they know everything (making themselves more arrogant by "realizing" that), High schoolers think Middle schoolers think they know everything (making themselves more arrogant), college students think that highschoolers know everything (making themselves more arrogant by "realizing" that), and adults out of college think that college students think they know everything (making themselves more arrogant by "realizing" that), etc. I'm not saying that NOBODY is mature, I guess I just feel like... maturity is something that you shouldn't... be arrogant about. If you're mature, don't spend so much time criticizing the people younger than you and being so arrogant about it. I guess there are a few exceptions... I mean, I don't debate politics with a 3 year old or ask a 10 year old for advice or anything... I personally think that maturity is just something you acknowledge about yourself without having to talk about it all the time... And that probably made no sense.

The same opinion was shared by several of my high school TEACHERS. Very seldom does one come across a high school student whose field of vision extends beyond the tip of their own nose. In my middle school, everyone held the same views on everything, and anyone who tried to speak out was constantly ridiculed. Reading was dumb, George Bush sucked, gay people were horrible and disgusting, you shopped at Limited Too, and you were either Christian or nothing at all. It was conform or die. Everyone, and I mean everyone at my middle school hated each other. A lot of people couldn't go a whole day without being insulted. But when I got to high school, everything changed. There were all types of people there, you could think whatever you wanted and dressed however you liked without persecution. I mean, there were always a few people that continued to be annoying gits, but for the most part, everyone was polite and respectful, and those who disliked each other just kept to themselves. It might've been because I came from a middle school of 500 people to a high school of 1,400, but people in high school are usually a thousand times more mature and unique. Just my two cents. Edit: OMG IT'S ALLAN!!!!! *glompglompglompglomp* I thought Ebola had posted that. Well, now I understand perfectly: It's Caldwell.

Well...I found out Friday that I'm definitely going to Lincoln! Please pray, my friends...Maria may have survived Lincoln, but who knows about me?
At least I'll be partly isolated because I'm there for VSN.

I'm sure you'll be GREAT, Keaton, don't worry about it Just remember this: If you EVER want advice, it's so much better to ask someone who's already been through middle school coughcough MEcoughcough. But seriously, always ask us if you're ever worried. I'm sure there's NOTHING that we all haven't been through, so don't be afraid
