GCT died before we aged out. Just because we had a lot of fun in Ming Lee doesn't mean GCT wasn't dead, then, too. It means we just made the best of a bad situation.

...I AM SPEECHLESS AT YOUR DUMBNESS.
sorry, but Ming Lee wasn't a bad situation for me. I made a lot of friends there and I had a wonderful time.
god the "old gct" act is so annoying...

Wait...we had fun in Ming Lee? Okay? It's nice that you did.
Maybe it's just that I was in my 5 month depression during Ming Lee...IDK.
Still, CTG is more professional about their shows. They are way more serious about them, yet all of us still have the time of our lives. I have just as much with CTG, if not more, than I do with Drama Center. When the play is good, I have more fun. Thus, my lack of enjoyment of Ming Lee.
The casting at Drama Center isn't spot on (and I'm in no way saying CTG's is, trust me, it's not), IMO. Ming Lee's a good example.

ok so ming lee sucked ass we get it keaton i had fun...and we all really dont care what the hell that you thought about it and when i say we i mean me...and others the may agree with me though i dont know who they are....this is what i think keaton...i think "Drama Center" as you call it is just FINE and you and all your snobby ass "CTG" friends can go run to ur little politcaly casted plays...the whole thing is pissin me off BUT THATS OK!.....i dont like this thread because this is not a "simple debation thread" its more than that and you know it.......you knkw what eles i think keaton? i think that you are a slightly spoiled little kid, who if everythings not just effin perfect goes into an effing depression YOUR NEVER HAPPY! ok sorry that was really mean......anyway i dont like this and im nto say CTG is terrible or anything just that some of their ways are infact terrible and that they could b a hell of alot better if they started casting on talent...another problem with "Drama Center" is that its city run, and they dont have NEARLY enough money THATS NOT THEIR FAULT! also im w/joy i dont like all this old gct, cuz like well im still in it and there for IT AINT DEAD! if it was dead, then i would not be a participant would i NO ok neway...yes we know ming-lee was hell keaton, BUT you have no right to judge it based on just that....ok ok good r we clear now?
oh one more thing....IF this is in fact just a "simple debation thread" then you need to stop BASHING gtc and etc. that is EXACTLY what your doing here and you cant tell me other wise thats what ur doin good day to all!

Keaton, I'd like to point out that we all KNOW CTG's shows are better than ours. That wasn't always the case - while your shows were always flashier, I believe under Barbara's direction ours had more artistic integrity.

I believe under Barbara's direction ours had more artistic integrity. Okay, I'm sure Barbara was an AMAZING director and that the shows were fun and great, but have you ever considered that things seemed so FANTABULOUS because you were younger and more easily impressed? Think about it, when you're 5 years old and you think a drawing you did was absolutely AMAZING and that it's probably going to be the best piece of art ever, you had no idea that 10 years later you'd run it through a paper shredder, embarrassed that you'd ever be impressed by that piece of crap. This happens to me ALL the time. I watch a show when I'm 10 and think it's the best and most thought provoking show ever, and now when I watch it I get EXTREMELY embarrassed and have to turn it off after the theme song. Plus, this whole "old GCT" thing is making you guys act like you have 25 more IQ points than anyone who hasn't known this Barbara. Okay, we know that you loved Barbara and that "old GCT" was the best thing that could ever happen to a person, but you don't have to act like your life is over and that it was almost as good as Broadway or something.

I would, if every adult I know that has ever been involved in a play with her didn't share my opinion.

I would, if every adult I know that has ever been involved in a play with her didn't share my opinion. People thought King Midas was adorable, they thought The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was amazing, and they thought that The Headless Horseman was the best GCT show they've seen in a long time!

True, but have you heard UNIVERSALLY good compliments about any of these three shows? And further, were the givers of these compliments giving them in situations where their sincerity was guaranteed and not, say, in front of the cast members of Rosina?

Kathleen...I'm am not bashing. I'm saying in polite words what I think Drama Center, as you said in polite words what you thought of me (or not).
You can't be talking about CTG, Kathleen. You've never been in a play with them. Give it one show Kathleen, just one, and you'll love it.
And Kathleen, I know for a fact one role in Oliver! was 100 percent politically cast. And I call it Drama Center cause it is just that.
CTG is city-run too. For the Community, By the Community.
And I admitted some shows and some parts are very politically cast. That doesn't discourage me. That's the world. Face it. I'm sorry.

wow keaton one role......that HUGE cuz theres deff not a diffrence between one role and the ENTIRE CAST.... but when you in the entertainment bussiness then your going to have to expect some amount of political casting...and i havent really said nething about ctg that hasnt already been said and ive been polite the whole time, except to you...and yes you do bash ALOT
