I love how Calatrava's transportation center completely covers the street! I didn't realize that those fin things would extend that far out.

The whole complex is simply amazing. Nothing comes close. Tallest office building in the world, biggest office complex in the world, it spits on the ideals the destroyed the old WTC. This is Freedom Tower steel which just arrived: The Freedom Tower: (Keep in mind that this is Freedom Tower's underground section.) I can't wait till the lobby takes shape in July.

Can't see the first pic. But I can't wait for this construction site to finally reach above street level!

They are current erecting more steel beams and have poured most of the core. From this month till about December, they will be finishing up the foundation and will continue to install steel beams, working on the core, and other things. From around Jan to May, they will start to bring the building as a whole out of the hole, and from May on, the building will be rising. It will be topped out by 2010. By June, the Foundations for the other towers will be completed and we'll see their steel and cores. By 2009, all 4 cores of the four supertalls will be rising. ^ The first floor to be built in the Freedom Tower. It's sublevel 5 or 4. +/- 20'

Just from keeping my ears open. I know alot because I know a structural engineer on the Tower 2 team. There will be 222 elevators and 22 escalators in Towers 1-4. From what I hear, they will only need those two tower cranes to build the entire Freedom Tower because those two cranes are really more efficient than any others. I doubt that they'll mount more tower cranes on the side of the building now. But, then again, the GS Tower is using two of the same cranes and there's another tower crane or two mounted to the side, so maybe the Freedom Tower will have four tower cranes by next year. The tower being built in the background is the GS Global HQ Tower and it will be topped soon, but it's only half done. It will be the same height as 7WTC, which is the tall blue-ish tower to the right. The GS Tower has a massive curve on the western side and looks really nice. The two tower cranes in the middle are sticking out of the Freedom Tower.
